Bob Koncerak has 30 years of experience across financial
services and asset finance-related businesses.
His background includes positions in the capital markets, corporate
finance, commercial banking and risk management. After earning degrees from Penn State and Duquesne
University, Bob spent the early years of his career as credit manager and
assistant treasurer for J&L Specialty Steel in Pittsburgh. Bob entered
the banking industry in 1998, first as controller for Mellon Bank’s capital
markets division, then as CFO for Wachovia’s capital markets and wealth
management divisions. In 2007, Bob
joined an Atlanta de novo start-up that raised nearly $35MM and opened
Touchmark National Bank. After TMAK
became profitable, Bob established BankForward Consulting, LLC in 2010 and assisted
several Georgia financial institutions during the financial crisis. Bob
recently finished a two-year restructure of $600MM Altrust Financial Services
in Cullman, Alabama, where he oversaw a charter merger and established risk
management and vendor management programs.
In July 2013,
Bob published a book about his community bank experiences titled The Most Fun I Never Want To Have Again – A
Mid-Life Crisis in Community Banking.
2015, Bob became president at Cold River Land Management in Alpharetta, GA. Cold River provides solutions to companies
looking to optimize and outsource property tax management, appeals, payments
and related services.
Bob is a speaker and writer on matters of financial interest.
